Writing classes are designed to include interesting and enjoyable exercises that will help students tackle any type of writing task they may encounter in high school and beyond. Art and music classes are also important components of our students’ academic coursework.
Balboa School is an accredited, 1-12 private school in Escondido, San Diego County offering college preparatory curriculum in smaller classes. For new students, school rapidly becomes an experience they actually look forward to. Rules, expectations, and lessons are well communicated to students and parents. We create positive learning experiences that encourage students to actively engage with the curriculum and work towards mastery of academic goals.

Certification: Balboa School has been accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) since 1998 and is a member of the College Board. The majority of Balboa courses are approved by the University of California’s A-G system. Balboa is NCAA certified allowing all student athletes to be eligible for athletic scholarships.
